I had a great race yesterday in VA Beach!! We had a rough few miles there and I think the worst part was the part through the Naval base. At one of the water stops there, a woman was hosing people and told us we had no choice. She got me so wet my arms started chafing! I was pretty mad but did dry quickly. I forgot what she said and began visually finishing in 2 hours and 59 minutes!! It worked!! My overall time was 2 hours, 59 minutes & 19 seconds for a 13:41 minute mile pace. Awesome!!! I am finally getting this race walking thing down!
It was a great race and a great weekend overall! Glad I did it and beginning to think I need to drag the hubby there to do it all again next year!!
